The Friends of Harmony Hall-Jacob Sloat House and the Sloatsburg Historical Society celebrated by cleaning the historic markers at Harmony Hall and planting flowers!

Thank you Pomeroy Foundation for reminding all about National Historic Marker Day and for including our efforts on their featured gallery. We are very fortunate to have numerous historic sites in the Highlands region!


Pictured: At Harmony Hall's marker are Sloat descendant and village historian Harrison Bush, Peter Bush, and Jane Kral, treasurer of the Sloatsburg Historical Society; in front of Characters Restaurant cleaning The Glenwood Hotel marker are Friends of Harmony Hall board member and Sloatsburg Chamber board member Kathy Goldman with her daughter Jayne Goldman; cleaning the Sloat House marker are Sloatsburg residents Randi and Brian Colton; by the Sloatsburg Train Station tending to the Browns Gate marker as well as the Sloat Dam marker, is resident artist and Plein Air co-founder Jessie Taylor; Sloatsburg Chamber of Commerce board member Gillian Ballard cleans up the Sloatsburg Cemetery marker.
