The Roaring 20's at Harmony Hall-Jacob Sloat House!

Harmony Hall was aglow Saturday night, November 4th, with the excitement of a Roaring 20s Speakeasy Party, complete with decorative window fringes, golden table tops, and a bustling house full of guests dressed for the occasion — sporting elegant feathered headpieces, fringed beaded dresses, long white pearls and silky black gloves, long cigarette holders, fedoras, and suspenders. Dice, playing cards and (candy) cigarettes added a memorable touch. It was even rumored that someone was packing a Derringer! Shhhhhh….

Musical performances transported everyone a hundred years back in time thanks to the sultry tones of members of The Jazz Pioneers and soloist Stacey Tirro who delighted everyone.

The hearty buffet of delicious bites, donated by the Board of Trustees, along with wine, beer, and hard cider was enjoyed by all in fine Great Gatsby style.

The board would like to thank volunteer hosts Carolynn Whitford, Kandi Rosenbaum, and Vincent Shea who attended to guests so graciously.

Many thanks to Rockland Cider Works, Defiant Brewing Company, and Rockland Bakery for their generous donations. All proceeds go towards the “Not Just a Front Porch” restoration campaign.

We look forward to seeing you at our Victorian Holiday on Sunday, December 3rd from 1-5.
