About
Andrea LaMantia is a retired East Ramapo Central School District teacher. She served as chief building representative for the East Ramapo Teachers Association during her tenure She is an active SUNY Oneonta alumna, having served two terms on the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association Board of Directors, and is currently an alumni ambassador. In 2016, Andrea and three other alumni represented her Class of 1975 in accepting the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragon Spirit Award. In June 2025, she will be awarded the Red Dragon Spirit Award as an individual recipient. She has been a Girl Scout for over 37 years as a
leader and a service unit delegate. She executed fundraising events for the Annual Giving Campaign and has served for over 27 years on the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson (GSHH) Adult Recognition Committee. Andrea has been awarded several adult recognitions, including the Honors Pin and Thanks Badge. She was a National Delegate to the GSUSA National Council from 2017-2025. National Council debates and votes on the protocols and bylaws for the national organization. She is a member of the Historical Society of Rockland County and The Heritage of West Nyack. She has been an executive board member of The Friends of Harmony Hall since 2011 and is currently the Board President.
